Learning Support Assistant
Location: Fareham
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Part-time/ Full-time
Start Date: Immediate
Are you ready to inspire and empower students in their learning journey? GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join schools in Fareham. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist students with varying learning needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, your contributions will help create an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive, enabling them to achieve their full potential academically and socially.

Responsibilities for a Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion of all students in classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised learning plans.
- Implement effective strategies to support students with diverse learning needs and promote positive behaviour.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment where students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in learning support.
Essential Qualities & Skills We Need:
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, are desirable but not mandatory.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational context or as a Learning Support Assistant is preferred.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that encourages student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish positive relationships with both students and staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively across various classroom settings and support a range of learning needs.
- A genuine desire to help students overcome their learning challenges, demonstrating patience and empathy.
What is required from you:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years, covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
